My artistic journey is a vibrant exploration of male pin-up art through a distinctly queer lens. I am passionate about celebrating the human form by infusing it with bold, vivid colors, thereby redefining the traditional boundaries of male erotica and pin-up art. Embracing a hyper-bold and colorful aesthetic within this classic genre is a unique approach that I have adopted, filling a niche that has been relatively unexplored.

In my work, I strive to bring an explosion of color and a celebration of queerness to the world of male pin-up, challenging existing norms and enriching the visual representation of LGBTQ+ experiences. Through my art, I aim to foster a sense of inclusivity and diversity, bridging the gap between tradition and modernity in the realm of erotic art.

ADAM DALTON BLAKE

My creative expression draws inspiration from the tapestry of everyday life within our society, infused with a distinct perspective rooted in a queer pin-up aesthetic. I find inspiration in the ordinary, transcending traditional boundaries by translating various aspects of life – be it jobs, lifestyles, activities, or media – into vibrant queer artworks. For me, the magic lies in the transformative power of color and unapologetic sexuality, where I weave together diverse influences to redefine conventional norms and celebrate the spectrum of human experiences through my art. I want my art to be viewed as either fun escape from the hetero normalcy of society or a bright light in an erotic art world devoid of color, whimsy or humor.

I employ a combination of digital and traditional methods to create my art. Utilizing advanced digital tools like Procreate and Adobe Illustrator, I delve into the realm of digital artistry, leveraging their vast capabilities to bring my visions to life with precision and creativity. These platforms allow me to experiment with colors, textures, and intricate details, enhancing the depth of my artistic expressions. Additionally, I value the timeless charm of traditional techniques. Through hand drawing with pen and ink, I capture the tactile essence of my subjects, infusing each stroke with a sense of intimacy and authenticity. By seamlessly blending these digital and traditional approaches, I strive to craft art that resonates on multiple levels, inviting viewers into a rich tapestry of creativity and skill. I have been fortunate to collaborate with brands around Pride including Bombas, Bonobos, Callen-Lorde Health Center and The Phluid Project.
