Over the past 15 years, my artistic journey has been shaped by a deep exploration of life drawing, a practice that has allowed me to intimately understand the human form. In my current work, I am captivated by the interplay of layered colors and pentimento, a technique where I draw atop old life drawings, creating a visual dialogue between past and present. Embracing the modern context, my creative process has shifted to virtual platforms like Zoom sessions, enabling me to continue my artistry even in the wake of the pandemic. My approach is intentionally slightly messy, infused with vibrant energy that permeates my work. The prominent themes in my art revolve around the human form and its connection to the ever-changing world, capturing the essence of life in its raw, unfiltered beauty while embracing the complexities of our contemporary existence.

My creative expression has been profoundly influenced by a variety of sources, chief among them being the presence of handsome models. Their physicality and grace serve as a constant wellspring of inspiration, allowing me to delve into the intricacies of human form and movement in my artistic endeavors. Additionally, I have honed my skills by immersing myself in the works of other artists, both on platforms like Instagram and in real-life settings. Observing their techniques, styles, and perspectives has broadened my artistic horizons, providing me with a diverse range of influences that continually shape my creative vision. These encounters with different artistic voices have not only refined my technical abilities but have also ignited my imagination, driving me to explore new avenues and push the boundaries of my craft.

I intend for my art to resonate with viewers by capturing the essence of my models and the energy that permeates the live sessions. My goal is to create a visceral experience for the audience, allowing them to feel the raw vitality and authenticity of the moment as if they were present in the room during the live session. Through my paintings, I aim to translate the unique energy of both the models and myself onto the canvas, inviting viewers to connect with the emotions and sensations that are often intangible and elusive. I want them to not only see the subjects but to also sense the life force and passion that pulses through the artwork, evoking a profound emotional response and a sense of being part of a shared, intimate experience.
