During the pandemic, my interest in figurative art took a distinct turn towards the erotic, particularly centered around drawing men online. I have a preference for working with live models or through platforms like Zoom, finding a unique intimacy and immediacy in capturing their essence in real-time. What captivates me most is the unspoken language of the human body—the subtle nuances of a pose, the curves, and angles that create visual poetry.
I tend to concentrate on the aspects of the body or a specific pose that I find most visually appealing, allowing my art to organically evolve from there. I don't believe in overworking a piece; instead, I strive to capture the raw emotion and sensuality in the moment, preserving its authenticity. Sometimes, my focus results in a complete figure, while at other times, I hone in on just a fragment, immersing myself in the intricacies of human form and expression.

My creative expression is deeply influenced by artists who skillfully depict the male figure with strong, precise lines, such as J.C. Leyendecker and John Sargent. Their mastery in capturing the nuances of the male form resonates with me, pushing me to explore similar techniques in my work. Additionally, I find inspiration in the subtle interplay of light and shadow found in classical sculptures and the vibrant palettes used by the Impressionist painters. Nature, too, plays a significant role in my creative process, with its ever-changing landscapes and organic forms offering endless possibilities for artistic exploration. Moreover, the rich tapestry of human emotions and experiences, observed through literature, poetry, and everyday interactions, fuels my desire to express complex narratives and sentiments in my art. These diverse sources of inspiration converge, shaping my unique artistic voice and enriching my creative endeavors.
I enjoy experimenting with a diverse range of artistic media to bring my visions to life. Recently, my focus has been on pastels and conte crayons, leveraging their unique textures and vibrant hues to create depth and emotion in my work. I prefer working on toned paper, as it provides an excellent canvas for my creativity. The subtle tones allow me to highlight specific areas, making them stand out with intensity. By employing a limited palette of two or three carefully chosen colors, I can convey intricate details and evoke powerful emotions within my art. These deliberate choices in tools and techniques enable me to craft pieces that resonate with the essence of my artistic expression. I aim for my art to resonate with viewers by appealing to them aesthetically while also evoking a sense of arousal.
